A prostate orgasm is often stronger than a normal orgasm, but it’s also a bit taboo. Men have been having prostate orgasms for centuries, but since the rectum is involved, a lot of men will squirm at the idea of a prostate massage.
But you should not let that stop you. In fact, there are different ways to stimulate the prostate, both internally and externally that can take your peak to new heights.
Let’s start with a brief anatomy primer before jumping in.
Where is the Prostate Located?
Anatomy is a vague subject for some, and if you’re wondering the exact location of the prostate, you’re not alone.
Most people know that it’s located in the rectum, and the exact location is slightly different for every man.
The prostate is a small gland, and it’s about the size of a walnut.
The gland is below the bladder, and is responsible for producing seminal fluid. These fluids are the same fluids that will mix with sperm that’s produced when you ejaculate.
Now that we know some about the “P-Spot,” it’s time to learn where to find this elusive spot in your body. There are external and internal play options, so you do have a chance to stimulate your prostate and orgasm even if you don’t enter the rectum.
Where is the P-spot?
Depending on the person, the spot that you will want to hit is about 3 to 4 inches from your anal canal. The spot itself is about an inch long, and you’ll be massaging the prostate from the side.
The urethra goes through the middle of the prostate, which is right below the bladder.
Your gland fills naturally during sexual arousal, and the fluids will release when you ejaculate.
Finding the Prostate Internally
You can stimulate the prostate internally, and you’ll want to keep the following in mind:
You must enter the anal canal and go up about 3 – 4 inches.
The prostate is on the same side as your belly button.
Touch the inner wall, towards your belly button, to find the “texture” that is different from the rest of the rectum.
A few hints that provide a great indicator that you’ve found the prostate are that it will feel like a soft walnut or even a ripe plum in texture.
If you can’t find the prostate, you may want to become aroused first to allow the gland to fill with fluid and blood. As the prostate fills, it will become more obvious when trying to locate it.
Finding the Prostate Externally
Anal play not for you? Don’t worry, a lot of people are afraid to give anal play a try. You can reach the prostate externally, and this will allow you to milk your prostate and orgasm. The method is less direct, but you’ll want to start exploring the area that sits between the anus and testicles.
Called the perineum, you’ll want to stroke upward on this area of skin and try and feel for a firm bulge.
If you can’t find the bulge, engage in some form of sexual stimulation to allow the prostate gland to fill and firm.
Note: If you want to give prostate milking a try, we discuss how to stimulate the prostate at the end of this article.
What is Prostate Milking?
Prostate milking is a term given to stimulating or massaging the prostate. This is stimulation of the prostate with the intent to reach orgasm, and it works very well and feels even better than a normal orgasm, according to a lot of men.
What Does a Prostate Orgasm Feel Like?
I always wondered what a prostate orgasm felt like, and when I asked a few sexual health experts that I know about it, they claimed that it was a deeper, more intense orgasm. They couldn’t put their finger on the feeling that it gave them beyond that heightened sense of orgasm, but then a popular trend started to emerge…
A lot of men claim that it feels like the build up to / beginning of an orgasm.
It’s that moment before an orgasm is reached and you ejaculate. But what’s different with prostate milking is that there is no ejaculation.
You can stimulate the area, keeping that sensation for as long as you wish.
What’s weird is that you’ll orgasm, but you won’t cum.
Some men will have pre-cum, but a lot won’t have any cum leaking out. Men can also combine this with traditional masturbation techniques, and the result is a very powerful orgasm that has a lot more fluid than just masturbation alone.
So, to sum up how it feels to have a prostate orgasm: it feels like the moments right before you orgasm with traditional masturbation.
But that moment can last as long as you want.
Keep in mind that it does take some time to get used to the feeling of anal play. Some men love the feeling, while others do not. You need to practice a bit to figure out exactly where the prostate is located and how to stimulate the prostate properly.
How to Stimulate the Prostate 101
Prostate orgasms are becoming so popular that the trend has created an entire industry of prostate massagers. These toys are a lot of fun, and while I do recommend giving them a try, you can also give stimulation a try for yourself.
We already discussed how to locate the prostate, and stimulating it would come next.
You’ll do this by:
#1 – Internal Stimulation
Your entire focus will be on the walnut-sized organ, and this will require you to massage the organ using small strokes. Stroke in all directions, stimulating the prostate. Small strokes work much better than longer strokes, and keep in mind that the prostate is just an inch long, so long strokes will often be less effective.
#2 – External Stimulation
External play is done the same way, but you’ll find that a clockwise massage followed by a counterclockwise massage works best. The goal is to move the finger around, finding the area that feels the best. You’ll want to experiment with pressure levels, too.
Find a pressure that hits your spot and feels the best.
Continue with your exploration, finding what works best when massaging your prostate. A lot of men are able to successfully stimulate their prostate externally, but then there are also some men that can’t orgasm through external play.
You’ll need to find out if you’re one of the lucky men that can orgasm with external stimulation or not.
Continue massaging, with different directions and pressures, until you find what works best for you. If external stimulation just isn’t doing it for you, then you can always switch to internal massages, which are much easier to reach orgasm with.
Tips to Make Prostate Massaging Easier
Make sure that you communicate with your partner if you plan on massaging their prostate. Consent is 100% required here, and it will be a much better experience if the other person has agreed to your massage first.
Prepping the area is essential, and this means a nice long shower. You’ll also want to trim your fingernails. You want the experience to be as comfortable as possible.
Start with anal play to ensure that the person is calm and not tense during the massage. At the time of penetration, it’s much better if the person isn’t afraid that the entry will hurt.
Feel free to use lube (lots of lube) to make the experience less painful and more fun.
